Petros Savvakis

Software Engineer / Entrepneuner-Innovator
Tech Lead @ Ethniki Asfalistiki / Ex Nokian /National Technical University of Athens

“There is only one good, knowledge and one evil, ignorance.” – Socrates, 470 B.C.

Driven by a passion for learning and a commitment to exploring the trenches of technology, I am a dedicated Software Engineer (and Robotics) with experience that spans

startups to large-scale tech innovators. My work revolves around transforming ideas into robust, cutting-edge solutions—always fueled by curiosity and a desire to grow.

Currently, I contribute to Nokia’s R&D team, where I develop advanced software systems using:

Python, C++, Linux, Kubernetes, Cloud Applications, Docker, Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Shell Scripting, OpenStack, VMware Infrastructure, VMWare ESXi, and REST APIs.

My role involves blending these technologies to create reliable, scalable products that push the boundaries of what’s possible in telecommunications 2G/3G/4G and 5G.

Beyond my work at Nokia, I am also open source creator and contributor in projects such as PeepDB, I am also the former

Co-Founder of AnalogProgrammers, a team known for blending creativity and technical prowess to solve complex problems—evident in the

hackathons we’ve won and the variety of successful freelance projects under our belt in software and hardware. My responsibilities involved the design and development of embedded systems, software

architectures, and overall technical strategy. My passion for hardware is further reflected in my freelance Embedded-Hardware Engineering endeavors, where I regularly worked with

IoT, PCB Design, Shell Scripting, Power Electronics, Circuit Design, Sensor Integration, 3D Modeling, RTOS, Simulink, Microcontrollers, Control Systems Design, KiCad,

and Power Management. These projects have sharpened my ability to work on full-stack solutions—from conceptualization to final deployment. Previously, as part of Prom Racing

NTUA’s Formula Student team, I contributed to the design and inspection of BMS and Powertrain Systems for the electric formula P20. I have also worked as an Embedded

Hardware-Designer Engineer at GAME OVER Escape Rooms, applying my technical skills in a hands-on environment to craft immersive user experiences. My academic journey includes

postgraduate research in robotics and automation, supplemented by published papers that advance our collective understanding of these domains. Whether in the lab, on the racetrack,

or at the heart of complex UAVs systems, I thrive on the challenge of turning theory into tangible innovation. Ultimately, I believe that staying curious and open to new

perspectives is crucial in an ever-evolving field. If you share my enthusiasm for shaping the future of technology or want to discuss groundbreaking ideas, feel free to reach out.
